Relining with GRP drainage pipes at Düsseldorf Airport
Picture the 200 tons of a Boeing 747, the strict security measures in and around gates and planes, and the (normally) very busy departure and arrival schedules. For a pipe, this translates into several requirements: maximum load and stress resistance, quick and uncomplicated installation, and long, low maintenance lifetime. That’s pretty challenging. And just about right for GRP.
At Düsseldorf Airport for example, 400 m Flowtite GRP pipes DN 1500-2000, SN 10000 were relined to make the airport’s stormwater drainage sewer fit for the next generations of planes and air travellers.
