Wastewater Treatment Plant MODŘICE
Brno had its wastewater treatment plant built in 1960. Reconstruction and extension plans were made in 1990 for the plant’s capacity was low and its technology insufficient. The rehabilitation project was first prepared by an Austrian company (SFC Schueffl &, Forsthuber Consulting GmbH) specialized in the field of environmental engineering, specifically in water and wastewater treatment. HOBAS CC-GRP Pipe Systems were then installed for the rehabilitation of the main sewer in Brno. Since the contractor, the BVaK (Brněnské Vodárny a Kanalizace), was very content with HOBAS he decided together with the investor to utilize HOBAS CC-GRP Pipe Systems for the reconstruction of the wastewater plant as well. Another condition was the availability of custom-made piping components such as T-pieces, F-pieces, reductions, etc. so that the wastewater plant could be rehabilitated under operating conditions. From the beginning of the realization of the project, HOBAS Czech Republic cooperated with Aquatis, a Czech water engineering company. A lot of individual solutions were borne within this cooperation.
