Rehabilitation by HOBAS Sliplining in China
The requirements regarding pipe design are: HOBAS Pipes with an outer diameter of 800 mm, SN 5000, PN 8. The roughness coefficient of the inner surface is 0.009 – 0.01. Given the data above, calculations showed that the flow capacity of the HOBAS® CC-GRP Pipe DN 800 was similar to that of the DN 900 cast iron pipe. The installation was started in October 2006. Starting and receiving pits were established at suitable locations along the course of the sewer. The old cast iron pipe was cleaned and working platforms were installed. Then about 1163 m of DN 800 HOBAS® CC-GRP Pipes were pulled into the old pipeline in three sections. The performance of the HOBAS Pipes was very satisfying and so the completion of this project in Shanghai tipped the scales for the promotion and development of relining projects with HOBAS® CC-GRP Pipes in the region.
