New wastewater treatment plant for Beirolas
In the citiy of Lisbon, Flowtite pressure pipeline and fittings was installed to construct the new wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) – Fábrica de Água de Beirolas.
The new wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) involved the construction of the entrance sewer and preliminary treatment, a line for the treatment of rain time flows, the increase of capacity for biological treatment, the improvement of the sludge line, and the remodeling of the liquid phase deodorization system and the improvement of the improvement of the isolation of the areas with the highest odour production.
The client Águas do Tejo Atlantico has invested around 5.3 million euros and benefits around 214,000 inhabitants eq of the municipalities of Lisbon and Loures, discharges the treated effluent into the Tagus River and has the capacity to treat an average flow of 54,500 m3/day.
