HOBAS Ventilation Pipes for the SMAROV Project in Versailles, France

Adhering to environmental standards has become an important aim for companies these days. It ensures that products meet the clients’ as well as statutory quality specifications. To meet the latest environmental standards, the French syndicate SMAROV (Syndicat Mixte d’Assainissement de la Région Ouest de Versailles) commissioned the extension of the water treatment plant for the western region of Versailles. In the course of the project, it was necessary to convey the air coming from the treatment process out of the treatment facilities. HOBAS Products DN 200 to 1400 in diameter have been utilized for this. The client opted for HOBAS for several reasons: Apart from their optimal mechanical properties, HOBAS Products were in this project designed for a working pressure of 0.5 bars and are furthermore resistant to chemical substances such as hydrogen sulfide and ammonium. Pipe installation was subdivided into two parts: The first comprising HOBAS Pipes DN 1400 was installed in open trench running from the treatment plant to a bridge which connects two buildings of the plant. Two parallel HOBAS Air Pipes DN 1000 are subsequently installed on supports beneath the bridge. Apart from pipes HOBAS delivered fittings such as tees, bends and a tailored Y-piece. The latter was produced for the transition from DN 1400 to both DN 1000 pipes and fits perfectly into the designated narrow space under the bridge. HOBAS convinced not only with this made-to-measure solution but also with professional technical support on the ground. Moreover, the technical department at HOBAS France provided the designers with static calculations. In the spirit of “everything from one source” HOBAS once again presented itself as system supplier who provides its clients with optimal complete solutions.
