Bealera Maestra – Destra Stura Consortium upgrades irrigation system with Amiblu pressure pipes

The “Bealera Maestra – Destra Stura” Consortium in the Province of Cuneo is a Piedmontese body for agricultural water management. Their district extends on the right of the Stura river and covers a surface area of over 12,000 hectares.

Due to climate change challenges, the Consortium decided to adjust their irrigation strategy in order to distribute water more efficiently and responsibly. It was decided to replace the traditional surface flooding irrigation system with a network of pressure pipes equipped with sprinklers.

For the first stage of the works in 2023, Amiblu pipes (type Flowtite Grey) were installed as main supply lines in DN 2000 and for the distribution system in diameters from DN 300 – DN 500. The next project stage started in early 2024 and also includes Amiblu pipes.
