Aitasa (Aguas Industriales de Tarragona, SA) has commissioned a new industrial wastewater treatment plant in Tarragona. The plant will serve the industries in the largest chemical and petrochemical estate in southern Europe, maximizing safety and reliability and minimizing the environmental and urban impact.

The water management company Aqualia has been awarded the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant.

Amiblu Spain supplied 1585m of GRP pipes and fittings in diameters from DN 150 to DN 900, and additionally provided a final hydrostatic test. The pipes were produced in the carbon-neutral Amiblu factory in Spain and installed above ground.
